Home School Parent Reviews of the Sunscript™ Cursive Handwriting System
Parents can effectively teach manuscript or cursive writing through the Sunform System. Easy to understand directions and clear illustrations and practice forms make Sunform the most effective handwriting system available anywhere. Sunform is a well-researched and tested process integrating a short narrative, easy to remember illustrations, and coherent motor plan. Children understand and enjoy learning from the system. Parents are very pleased at the results in student achievement and self-confidence. A very smooth transition from manuscript to cursive allows for smooth connection of small and capital letters. Sunform makes children happy because they can achieve excellent results, whether left or right handed.

Sunform Cursive has made learning cursive writing an easy task for me to teach, and my daughter finds it easy to learn. There isnt too much practice, but just enough to get the moves down and embed it in her memory. I’m seeing improvements every week in her journal where I asked her to write in cursive once a week. Thanks for a simple yet effective method for learning this dying art form. Oh and as an added bonus, she can easily read cursive now, so I can write in cursive myself!

I very much enjoyed the Sunform Alphabet System cursive letters curiculum. First, I really love that the manuscript and cursive letters are very similar. So, teaching their manuscript would be very beneficial for teaching cursive. The teachers manual gives so much information and shows what your child should be able to do before teaching cursive. It also shows so many examples of what specific letters, and strokes should look like or not look like. This curriculum is very easy to read and shows you exactly what to teach. The practice books are great and give a good amount of space to practice tracing and copying letters and words. I would definitely recommend this curriculum to anyone looking for an easy way to teach cursive.

This cursive writing program is great! I give it 5 out of 5 stars. The teacher’s guides are very detailed and give you everything you need to teach your child how to do cursive. The student’s workbooks are great too. The workbook is very easy to follow for a child and allows them to work independently at their own pace. I also like that the workbooks are divided up by uppercase and lowercase letters. I highly recommend this great cursive program.

The Sunform Cursive Handwriting book is a comprehensive tool. The format is quite easy to follow along for myself and with my students. The teacher’s manual is well organized and contains carefully thought out instructions. I felt comfortable with the material and the instructions were clearly explained. I appreciated the contrast between the incorrect form and correct form of each letter because I was able to identify where my students needed to make improvements. I mostly like that each letter is drawn with connect-the-dot fashioned instructions, so that the student feels guided through each step. The student’s writing booklet is easy to read and easy to follow along. There is ample space for students to practice each letter throughout the booklet. The section at the end which introduces students to joining letters offers great technical tips. The Sunform Cursive Handwriting is an excellent tool for all students and I will highly recommend it to my friends, family, and colleagues. On first look, the books were very nice and appealing. My student (age 8-3rd grade)felts the book is very nice looking. She was excited to start. The colors, instructions, and the layout were easy for her to understand. She noticed on the cover that the letters “c,a,d” were very similar. She was interested to see the incorrect examples in the teacher book. I think that will be less of a struggle for me to have a reference she can compare too. Thank you for letting us review this curriculum.

This program is amazing!! My daughter has been very interested in learning cursive writing. I struggled finding a way to show her how to make the letters and how to connect them. She became very frustrated that her letters did not look like mine and I had no idea how to teach her differently. Then I received this product and from the moment I opened it, I knew it was going to be a perfect addition to our homeschool curriculum. I really found it encouraging that the lessons starts with manuscript practice; much of the way I write is very similar to this book. For example I curve up the line down on my lowercase i and t; this is not that case for many manuscript letter programs. My daughter was always asking me why I did this and I did not have any answer except ‘it was how I was taught’. Seeing this program, I can see why I was taught this way and it makes the connective process of cursive writing clear. The program contains five books; each is organized according to motor plan and each letter builds on the previous letter learned. The teacher’s manual is very descriptive and thorough. It guides you through the lesson planning of each letter. Each letter is enlarged on its own page to give a better visual for your child. Thank you Sunform for the wonderful opportunity to try this product and teach my daughter cursive writing in a very organized manner. Thank you!!
