The Sunform™ Alphabet System

Our embedded pictograph mnemonics approach to foundational alphabet knowledge instruction enables children to quickly acquire the beginning letter-sound automaticity essential to the subsequent development of automatic word recognition. Sunform lessons are evidence-based and explicit yet fun, engaging and developmentally appropriate for pre-K age children! Students typically begin blending after 5-6 weeks of daily 10-15 minute lessons, while the integrated letter formation instruction pre-empts letter reversals and disintegrated shapes.

Most of my students learn all 26 letters and sounds, are sounding out words, and are reading short vowel phonics books within 6 to 10 weeks! Sunform “magically” turns our lowercase alphabet into meaningful pictures that the children can relate to, remember, and use to help them recall letter sounds and letter formations.
