SUN PRAIRIE, Wis. (March 31, 2020) – Ventris Learning, LLC has reached agreement with authors Linda J. Lombardino, Ph.D.; R. Jane Lieberman, Ph.D.; Jaumeiko J. Coleman, Ph.D. to become the exclusive publisher of the Assessment of Literacy & Language (ALL(tm)) effective immediately.

Speech-language pathologists (SLPs) use the ALL to evaluate the emergent literacy skills and spoken language development of prekindergarten, kindergarten, and first-grade children who have spoken language disorders and who are at risk for later reading impairment. The ALL is also appropriate for the early identification of children who are at risk for reading impairment due to specific risk factors including environment, heredity, and difficulties of phonological processing.

“To design targeted and meaningful intervention for young children with language learning challenges, we must first establish their strengths and weaknesses across spoken language and emergent literacy skills. The ALL was created specifically to accomplish this objective in a psychometrically sound and child friendly way”, said the ALL authors.

“The ALL is a unique assessment of both spoken language and early literacy for children ages 4-6,” said Robert Meyer, Ventris president. “The re-publication of this assessment is important and timely given the emerging science on the connectedness between early spoken language and literacy, and its implications for early assessment and treatment by SLPs and reading specialists”.
